Religious Education

View curriculum news and info for Religious Education

Religious Education is at the core of the curriculum of a Catholic School. At Corpus Christi, we follow the Come & See Programme, which has been recommended by the Diocese of Hexham & Newcastle. There are 3 themes that occur each term and gradually build upon the learning of the previous year. The themes are: The Church, Sacraments and Christian Living.

During the year, children also study Judaism and Islam. Teaching about other religions is important as it enables us to answer the call to love our neighbour as well as to develop an understanding of other religious lives and cultures.
