School Meals

Menu and catering information about our school.

Our delicious and nutritious school lunches are cooked ‘on site’ by our Cook and kitchen team through Gateshead Council.  They cost £2.90 per day (£14.50 per week).  This is payable through our Arbor Pay system.

The menu is on a 3 week cycle and provides a hot choice, salad bar and sandwich option. We always offer a vegetarian option and a selection of desserts. We pride ourselves in ensuring all children enjoy a delicious, filling meal each day at school.  We also have special theme days built into the school year.

We cater for allergies and intolerances. Kitchen staff are experienced in ensuring all pupils are fully included in our mealtimes. Please contact school for any additional information or questions.

Free school meals

UNIVERSAL INFANT FREE SCHOOL MEALS (UIFSM) are provided for all children in reception and Years 1 and 2 (KS1).  However for pupils currently in year 2, in order for the free school meal to continue when they begin Year 3, parents will need to apply to the means tested scheme and can do so via Gateshead Council’s website, or by telephoning 0191 4333729 or by completing the free school meals application form.

Even if you plan to give your child a packed lunch, it is essential that you still apply for means tested free school meals if you feel you would be entitled to them.

Otherwise, our school will lose out on vital funding in the form of pupil premium money, which is used to benefit our children’s education.
