Corpus Christi

This term in Year 1 we have been working on our throwing skills. We have been learning about underarm and overarm throws as well as how to throw with accuracy. We now know which throw is better for different distances, as well as how to aim at a target. In some of our lessons we have had obstacles surrounding our target, but we used our knowledge of different throwing styles to avoid the obstacles and reach our target! Year 1 have also demonstrated some of the Olympic and Paralympic values in our PE lessons. Friendship has been a particular value we have been exploring, as we have been thinking about how we can encourage and support our friends in our PE lessons. Excellent work Year 1!
