Corpus Christi

This term in our History lessons, Year 1 have been learning about lots of different rulers. We first learnt about Ramses II, a ruler of Ancient Egypt. Year 1 listened very carefully to the story of Ramses II, and could remember lots about how he is remembered and what he accomplished when he was ruler. We have also learnt about Boudicca, and discussed what kind of queen she was. Year 1 all agreed that she was brave, fearless and strong. Another ruler we learnt about was Henry VIII. Year 1 learnt that Henry VIII had 3 children, Mary, Elizabeth and Edward and that he became king at 18 years old. Year 1 showed fantastic knowledge about all the different rulers and had lots of exciting knowledge to share and add to our lessons! Well done Year 1!
