Corpus Christi

This term, Year 1 have been learning all about Queen Elizabeth II in their History lessons. We have looked at Queen Elizabeth’s childhood, her teenage years, her coronation and finally who succeed Queen Elizabeth to the throne. The children have been so engaged in their learning and have loved finding out about the Queen. The children particularly enjoyed watching part of the Queen’s coronation and found it so interesting watching her receive the Crown Jewels. Year 1 now understand how we know who the next king or queen will be and what happens during their coronation.
