Exploring Microhabitats

As part of our Science work on Living Things and their Habitats, we visited Saltwell Park to explore microhabitats. Firstly, we looked at the lake which is a habitat and saw many living things that live on it. Next, we explored various microhabitats including tree stumps and under rocks and leaves. The children sketched the microhabitat and the living things that they found there.
