Cultural Diversity Day

A post in our latest news section.

On Wednesday 21st May, we celebrated Cultural Diversity Day. To celebrate, each class in school had a different country. We came to school dressed in the flags colours and learnt a special dance relating to that culture. Year 1s country was the USA and we learnt how to cheerlead! Year 1 thoroughly enjoyed learning how to cheerlead and took part brilliantly. They especially loved using the pom-poms! Back in the classroom, Year 1 made some American flags, and also built some iconic American landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge and Washington Monument out of wooden blocks and Lego! We all had a fantastic time celebrating Cultural Diversity Day.
