In Art, Year 5 have been spending this half term thinking about mixed media and how to develop portraits in this technique. The children began by constructing self-portraits that were made up of words they thought best described themselves. It was great to see the children using ambitious vocabulary. The children continued to experiment with different materials including: pastels, graphite, pencils, card, digital imagery and fine liners. These were then combined together to create a unique portrait that reflected each of the children.
