Saying Thank You to our parish community!

In Year 4 we have been learning, in our RE lessons, about our parish community and the special people that have ministries. We have been learning about all of the special jobs that help to keep our parish community going and the special place that it is. We found out that different people in our parish have different ministries that serve our community, like Ministers of the Eucharist, Ministers of the Word, Children’s Liturgy volunteers, Catechists and so many more!
The children made a list of all of the roles that make up our Corpus Christi parish, and decided to write Thank You letters for the time and effort these parishioners give to our parish. We used Canva to write and decorate our letters and then some of our children hand delivered the letters to our parish community on Sunday at Mass.
There were lots of happy tears when the letters were opened and Father Chris and Deacon Malcolm opened their letters at the end of Mass on the altar and thanked the children for their kind words. Father Chris said it was lovely to receive the letters and know that the hard work of the parishioners is seen by the children.
