This term in science, the children in year 4 have enjoyed learning all about different animals. This weeks lesson, we created food chains using cardboard and string. The children enjoyed discussing the different roles of each of the animals, such as the predators, primary consumers, secondary consumers and producers. We were able to develop this into discussing food webs, by identifying the animals which have more than one consumer. Year 4 thought carefully about their food chains, some using sea creatures, some using animals which live in the Desert or the Savannah. Next term, we will learn all about living things and their habitats.
