Black History Workshop

Last week Year 6 took part in a workshop, hosted by the Anne Frank Trust, which re-told in narrative form Black History in Britain. The workshop was presented by author Jeffrey Boakye and he constructed a clever narrative to explain the beginnings of the British Empire and an explanation of some abstract concepts such as capitalism and colonialism. Throughout the workshop Jeffrey encouraged us all to ‘create our own life narratives’. It was a fascinating workshop that kick off our leaning throughout October linked to Black History.
