The children in Year 3 are making great progress with their writing. The children have been enjoying our new English curriculum and they have loved reading ‘The Railway Children’ by E.Nesbit and ‘Charlotte’s Web’ by E.B.White. This half-term the children have focussed on writing character descriptions of Wilbur the pig and Templeton the rat. The children also wrote a discussion on the topic of whether Templeton is a hero or villain. The children are getting very good at using noun phrases and adverbial phrases in their writing and they are learning to join up their letters to present their written work well.
