World Maths Day

A post in our latest news section.

On Wednesday 26th March Year 1 celebrated World Maths Day. During the day, Year 1 were tasked with breaking a pirate ‘code’. Year 1 were fantastic at this and solved all the problems so quickly. Each answer corresponded to a letter. We found all the letters and then had to work out the word. Again, Year 1 were amazing at this and spotted the pirate themed words straight away! They were all fantastic team players and worked so hard together to complete the puzzle! Year 1 also had a go at making some tessellation art. Everyone tried so hard to copy the patterns- they kept checking their work to make sure it matched the provided example. I was so impressed with their finished artwork! Well done Year 1- super Maths!
