This week Year 5 celebrated World Kindness Day by attending an online author workshop hosted by Mr Dilly. They were introduced to three authors, Zaro Weil, Aleksandra Stewart and Nazima Pathan, who all talked about the stories and poems that they write. Some favourites of the class were, I hear the trees, Cherry Moon and When Poems Fall From the Sky.

The children were then tasked with making a poster to advertise kindness, which they thoroughly enjoyed. It was a lovely activity to take part in and it was wonderful to watch them create their posters whilst having meaningful conversations about being kind and respectful to others.
