Venerating the relic of Blessed Carlo Acutis

Blessed Carlo Acutis is scheduled to be the first millennial saint as he will be canonised in April 2025. Because of his devotion to the Eucharist, his youthfulness and his life in the 21 century, he was chosen to be the patron of Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust.
A relic of Blessed Carlo is visiting our Diocese this week. We were delighted to be asked to take some children to a Celebration of the Word and veneration of the relic at St.Bede’s Catholic School in Lanchester. We heard stories about his life and received a special prayer card. It was a memorable and moving experience.
