Corpus Christi

Year 5 visited Northern Stage this week to watch a production of The Tempest by the Royal Shakespeare Company. This was an introduction to the play as they will be studying it in the Summer term. It was lovely to see the children so engaged with Shakespeare, and, whilst they didn’t know the story to understand all of it, it prompted lots of discussion on the journey back to school. It is so important for children to watch live performance to help them develop their own oracy and performance skills.
