Corpus Christi

This term Year 3 have began a very exciting project called the Linking Network Project. This is an art project run by the Shipley Art Gallery in Gateshead and the Laing Art Gallery in Newcastle. The project links schools who have different characteristics to themselves so that children can celebrate their similarities and differences and learn about each other. Our school has been linked with Biddick Hall Junior school in South Shields. The children in year 3 have made bunting with their name on one side in graffiti writing and a self portrait of themselves on the other. We have sent the bunting to Year 3 Biddick Hall to hang in their classroom and the children from their school have done the same for us. After Christmas we are looking forward to doing more joint activities with Biddick Hall and we hope to meet up with them at the Shipley Art gallery in 2025.
