Tea with the SVP – our first Mini Vinnies event of the year!

A post in our latest news section.

On Wednesday, our new Mini Vinnies took part in the SVP’s campaign ‘Tea with the SVP.’ Between 9th – 27th September (from the Feast of Blessed Frédéric Ozanam to the Feast of St Vincent de Paul), the SVP are running this campaign, providing a chance for our Mini Vinnies to bring people of all ages together to share tea, talk and friendship.

We invited our parents and parish community to come and join us for a cup of tea in our school hall and we were blown away by the support that our Mini Vinnies received. The hall was full of parents and parishioners who chatted happily with our Mini Vinnies, shared a cup of tea and a biscuit and even listened to our school choir sing!

Everyone was also invited to take part in our prayer paper chains, where they wrote a name of a person or group of people they would like to pray for and joined it all together to make a beautiful paper chain that will be displayed in both school and in church.

Finally, as our visitors left, they were given a little kindness parcel – a tea bag, a biscuit and a poem to share with someone who wasn’t able to attend today, helping our Mini Vinnies to make time for others, and share kindness, one cup at a time.

We are over the moon to announce that we raised £125.90 on Wednesday for the SVP! Thank you so much for your amazing support – our Mini Vinnies are so proud!
