Year 3 are currently learning about Mass in their Numeracy lessons. This means that they are looking at how heavy and light objects are. The children have been learning to read and interpret scales and they have learnt how to measure using grams and kilograms. This week they have focussed on looking for equivalent masses and they have also practised comparing masses, learning how to recognise heavier and lighter objects. Today they had fun making themselves into human balance scales , using their arms to show how the scales would move if something heavy or light was put on one side.
