In Science, Year 4 have been exploring living things and their habitats but with a focus on conservation. Year 4 have looked at ecosystems and how they are affected by the changes in our environment, understanding the human impact on the environment through deforestation and looking at the impact of air pollution on the environment.
Today, Year 4 conducted their own experiment. They placed some pollution catchers in different locations to see which areas had the worst air pollution. They found that in places such as parks and greenery, there was hardly any air pollution. The only thing caught was some leaves, branches and twigs. However, they found that areas near roads have significantly more pollution due to cars.
