Corpus Christi

This year, Red Nose Day and World Poetry Day have both fallen on Friday, 21st March. As a result, we combined the two by trying to learn humorous poems to recite. Year 5 learned the poem ‘Sick’ by Shel Silverstein. For Red Nose Day, they also planned out a news report, all about the history of the fundraiser. Some children cleverly incorporated their poetry performances into their news reports, while others kept them separate.
