Corpus Christi

Year 4 have started reading the text Matilda. We are starting to explore all the characters and gain an understanding of what they are like. We have started to understand how the author uses ‘show don’t tell’ techniques to allow the reader to gain a good understanding of how the characters are feeling.

Year 4 worked in groups to act out a scene from Matilda. During this scene, children were asked to freeze and discuss their emotions at that moment. Year 4 were brilliant at being able to express how the character was feeling at that moment.
